Well, I've done it; After a year and a half of query letters, ups, downs, and creative mountains high and shallow valleys low I have attracted a contract from a literary agent to represent my first novel, 'Shards of Destiny - Hero-Lore Book I'. I've signed and sent in the document along with the other prepared materials they needed, and VIOLA, I have an agent!! Whether or not they'll be perfect for this project, I don't know yet. Authentic Creations Literary Agency (the agent in question) likes the book, thinks its strong, and is a member of the AAR, so there's good points, but only time will tell beyond that. Still, no matter what, it will be an experience (hopefully a GREAT experience) seeing how an agent tries to sell my novel to a publisher, and what happens next. So, wish me luck, as this hopefully marks that next step.

In the meantime, I've FINALLY finished my anthology ('Tales of the Hero-Lore') that acts as a sort of prequel to the novel. Its for sale at cafepress.com(/herolore), and I really hope you'll all take a moment to look at it and maybe buy a copy. Perhaps I can at last generate a fan base. Several Deviants have stories in there. There's comics for sale at the official site, if that's more your style, though.. www.hero-lore.com

'Tales of the Hero-Lore' will be getting a bit of publicity at last. I have
been leaving some flyers here and there of late, but starting this coming week
there will be an ad running in 9 community newspapers around the valley. This
type of advert can cost a lot of money; fortunately I'm sleeping with the
publisher ;)
The ad includes the hero-lore.com address, as well as a direct URL for ordering
the book.

Got my second statement from my agent, who informs me that so far six publishers
have been presented the manuscript for 'Shards of Destiny; Hero-Lore Book I' in
whole or in part, and that two have so far passed.

Book II is coming along... no real hitches. Really looking forward to book
III.
